New Account

 

  • OnlineSBH enables to open a new account online. Funds in an existing account are used to open the new account.


Opening a Savings Account

To open a new Savings Account:

  1. Click Requests > New Account. A New Account page appears.
  2. Select the account type.
  3. Select the type of account from options such as Residents, NRE, NRO as shown in Figure 1.
  4. Click [Submit].

  1. In the New Account page, select the branch where you wish to open the account.
  2. Enter the initial amount paid to open the account.
  3. Select an existing account from which the initial amount is debited. Figure 2 shows sample settings.
  4. Click [Submit].

  1. A Confirmation page displays the account type, branch name, initial deposit and status of the request for opening a new account.
  2. The Internet transaction number, can be used for future reference when you contact the branch.
